Heater Season – Buyer’s Guide to SIP Heaters

The beginning of October usually signals a change in the weather. With nights starting to close in and the weather beginning to get colder and colder it’s time to turn our minds to dependable heating sources for the Autumn / Winter period.

A reliable heating source is an essential piece of kit in any warehouse, workshop garage, office, home and more. With SIP you can be rest assured that you are buying an affordable, quality heater designed to keep you and/or your space / environments warm, dry and comfortable even in the coldest of conditions.

Choosing The Right Heater

When it comes to choosing the right heater for your needs there are a few points to consider including the size of space to heat, the temperature increase required, and the type of insulation the space has. If you are looking to heat a person/s then your more energy efficient option would be a radiant heater, if you are looking to heat a room or large space then we recommend you choose a thermostatically controlled heater based on required BTU output and take steps to trap the heat, such as closing doors and windows, to improve efficiency.

With our handy BTU calculator you can quickly and easily determine the heat output you require by imputing the required information such as desired temperature increase, square footage to heat, insulation type and ceiling height, this handy tool is a fantastic way to help start your heater buying journey.

There are plenty of options to choose from once you know your BTU output, this will also help narrow down which fuel source is best suited for the area you wish to heat.
