SIP Capacitor Booster Packs; Leap into the Future for Jump Starters

A Reliable Jump Starter can be a real lifesaver. If you are unfortunate enough to encounter a flat battery, SIP’s range of super capacitor boosters are the new go to solution for dead batteries. These boosters offer remarkable benefits over conventional jump starters. These boosters will have you back on the road in no time!
But what are they and what do they do?
What is a Super Capacitor Booster?
A super capacitor booster or capacitor jump starter as they are also known are a cutting-edge tool designed to provide a quick and powerful burst of energy to quickly and easily start a vehicle with a dead battery. Unlike traditional jump starters that rely on heavy lead-acid batteries these SIP super capacitor boosters utilise advanced capacitor technology to store and release energy efficiently.
How Do Super Capacitor Boosters Work?
These boosters store energy similarly to a a Lead Acid AGM booster with the main difference being the speed they are discharged. They discharge in under 2 minutes from flat when connected to a 12v battery fitted to a running engine.
What Are The Benefits of Capacitor Boosters?
· Rapid Starting
These boosters excel in delivering a quick burst of energy, minimizing the time needed to jump-start a vehicle meaning you can start your vehicle in seconds rather than minutes offering unparalleled speed and efficiency.
·Compact and Lightweight design
Traditional jump starters are heavy and bulks because of the lead-acid battery, these super capacitor boosters are lightweight, easy to carry and store making them a much more efficient tool in emergency situations.
- Durability and Longevity:
Offering a significantly longer lifespan compared to traditional batteries they are designed to withstand a higher number of charge and discharge cycles (around 1 million), making them a durable and reliable solution for jump starting vehicles.
- Temperature Tolerance:
More resistant to extreme temperatures than traditional jump starters, these models can be used in freezing cold or scorching hot temperatures and maintain their performance levels
- Maintenance Free Design
Eliminating the need for periodic checks, these boosters are ready to use whenever you need them.
How To Use a Capacitor Booster:
1. Charge the Capacitor Booster
Connect the booster to a 12v battery fitted to a running engine. This should then fully charge the capacitors in under 2 minutes.
2. Connect the Capacitor Booster
Identify the positive & negative terminals on the booster and the vehicle’s battery. Connect the booster’s positive (red) cable to the positive terminal of the battery, and the negative (black) cable to a suitable ground point on the vehicle, such as the engine block. Many of the boosters come with a reverse polarity protection feature to prevent damage in case of incorrect connection to a vehicle.
3. Start the Vehicle
Once the booster is connected, attempt to start the vehicle as you normally would; 5 seconds cranking, 4 minutes resting. The booster will release a powerful burst of energy to crank the engine and start the vehicle.
4. Disconnect and Store:
Once you have successfully started the vehicle, leave the booster connected for around 15 seconds to recharge the capacitors (12v batteries only) ready for next time, you can then disconnect the booster from the battery safely.
The booster should then be stored in a cool, dry place for use the next time it is required.
