Introducing STIHL's most recent addition to their popular cordless battery-operated range, the AS system of tools are perfect for occasional home and garden challenges.
There are currently 10 machines in the range, all powered by high quality lithium-ion battery cells for outstanding performance and runtimes. All the tools in the AS system operate with the AS2 battery, it is compact, lightweight at only 0.2kg, and offers 10.8v / 28wh of battery power, with a IPX4 rating allowing for all weather work. 
Battery operated power has come along way over recent years, machinery is becoming more and more compact, lightweight and powerful with less maintenance over petrol powered tools. So, it’s no surprise that cordless technology is proving to be a very popular choice amongst homeowners and garden enthusiasts.

STIHL SEA20 Cordless Vacuum
Let’s start off with the SEA20 Cordless Vacuum, this nifty little machine is the perfect car companion. Supplied with a crevice nozzle, universal nozzle and removeable bristle attachment, making it ideal to clean those small hard to reach places in between seats that a traditional vacuum can’t. Also perfect for collecting dust and debris in workshops and garages, with the handy removable container for easy emptying and a washable two-step filter system for effective air filtration.
The range of cleaning applications is endless with the included extension tube and locking feature which allows continuous use without having to keep the control leaver pressed down. The approximate run time with the AS2 battery is up to 14 minutes. Available as both a 'body only' machine or kit which includes a battery and charger.

STIHL KOA20 Cordless Air Compressor
Next up is the KOA20 Cordless Air Compressor, this compressor is another perfect compact car companion, allowing you to inflate bike or car tires on the go. It is also ideal for inflating and deflating pool accessories, air mattresses, footballs and vacuum packing clothes. With an impressive 15-minute run time with the AS2 battery the KOA20 has been designed with a mode button so you can switch between high pressure air for inflation or high-volume mode for inflating and deflating accessories.
The clear HMI display shows the remaining battery charge level and pressure. You can also change the unit display between kPa, BAR, or PSI. This STIHL compressor also features an LED light for poor visibility and to conserve battery life the tool will power down after 20 seconds of inactivity.

STIHL ASA20 Cordless Secateurs
We always like to recommend great products but it’s also exciting when we see tools get reviewed on a bigger scale, and we are proud to see that one of our Top 5- the STIHL ASA20 Cordless Secateurs were also voted BBC Gardeners World Magazines BEST BUY for powered pruners in 2024. Rated an impressive 4.8 / 5.0 for ease of use.
They weren’t wrong, designed for effortless pruning work the ASA20 cordless secateurs are powerful and lightweight, cutting through material up to 25mm in diameter. Making pruning back bushes, shrubs or tree twigs a breeze when compared to manual secateurs. With two cutting blade widths to choose from you can easily and quickly cut through thick and thin material by using the trigger to select the blade width. The easy-to-read LED display on the body of the secateurs shows the selected blade width and battery life whilst also counting the number of cuts the pruner has made, which helps you keep on top of maintaining the blades and replace when needed.

STIHL RCA20 Cordless Pressure Washer
The newest member of the AS cordless system is the RCA20 Handheld Pressure washer. New for 2025, this 24-bar pressure washer offers portable, battery powered cleaning for when there is no mains electricity or water connection. This cordless pressure washer can draw water from any water source and can also be used with a mains water hose.
Powered by the AS2 battery, this handheld jet washer is ideal for cleaning light dirt build up around the home and garden. Keep on top of cleaning barbecues, garden furniture, play equipment and small vehicles, from just one charge it can clean for up to 17 minutes. The handy ECO mode will conserve battery power when used for lighter cleaning jobs, whilst the LED display will keep you updated on the remaining battery life.
The RCA20 comes with a 4-in1 multi nozzle which has 4 spray positions, choose from Rotary, Fan Jet, Narrow Jet and Hose settings for great versatility. Also included is a collapsable 20L water tank, 5m and foam nozzle with carry bag for storage and transportation.
World of Power Review: Great for smaller jobs around the garden especially when there is no outside water source available, compact and portable with no limitations of a mains cable.
STIHL GTA26 Cordless Pruner
Finally the last of our Top 5 is the Telegraph Recommended BEST BUY- GTA26 cordless 4” pruner. It recently scored a fantastic 10/10 and testers were impressed with the clear user instructions and compact storage case. The GTA26 handheld pruner is compact and lightweight, allowing you to tackle small cutting jobs without the need for a chainsaw. Supplied with a 10cm / 4” bar and chain offering excellent cutting performance with up to 25 minutes run time or 80 cuts depending on working conditions.
The comfortable rubberized handle and compact battery compartment makes the pruner feel small and easy to use with both hands for accurate cutting. For added safety the hinged bar protector can be lifted with ease for when the chain needs sharpening or changing with no need for additional tools. The handy charge level indicator on the side of the pruner allows you to keep a close eye on the battery life.
