The Makita EM408MP brush cutter attachment has a 30cm cutting width with a newly designed universal deflector allowing better visibility of the cutting area. Easy to use and efficient, suitable for use with nylon line heads, metal and composite blades.

This unit comes supplied with blade fittings to enable you to fit a selection of metal cutting blades: - 2-tooth; 3-tooth; 4-tooth and 8-tooth.

198779-6 / EM406MP String Trimmer Attachment

The EM406MP is sold for use with the supplied line head and should not be used with any metal cutting blades. Ideal to cut lighter grass and weeds. Weighing just 1.3kg this is an excellent attachment for keeping your existing lawns tidy.

191N49-6 / EM409MP Grass Trimmer Attachment

The EM409MP straight shaft grass trimmer has a 33cm cutting width and is supplied with a narrow guard for better visibility. The Tap n Go trimmer head has two cutting lines for efficient cutting. Suitable for both homeowners and professionals. Can be used with all combi engines, however for optimum performance this line trimmer is best used with battery powerheads.

195526-6 / ER400MP Line Trimmer Attachment

This bent line trimmer attachment is only for use with the EX2650LH multi-function 4-stroke power head- if you still have one.

This attachment is light and easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces making it effective when trimming grass from around trees, bushes and garden furniture. Supplied with a twin line bump feed system nylon cutting head.

195652-1 / EM400MP Brushcutter Attachment

This brush cutter attachment offers 42cm cutting width with a twin line bump feed system and rear protective guard. Metal blades can be attached as an additional accessory.

196256-2 / EN401MP Hedge Trimmer Attachment

Out of the two tools available in the Makita combi range, we would describe this hedge trimmer model as the one for the pros. The EN401MP has an improved gearbox when compared to the 1912T8-8, it has feathered blades which improves cutting performance and in turn this will enable you to get longer runtimes out of the battery during use.  

Offering a 49cm cutter bar with an articulated blade of 135 degrees, adjusted through 13 stages between 45° and 90°.  Can also be used with the 1m extension shaft to extend the overall reach from 162cm to 262cm.

1912T8-8 / EN402MP Hedge Trimmer Attachment

This hedgetrimmer model is compact and lightweight making it ideal for domestic use. Capable of cutting branches up to 20mm thickness. The 50cm double sided blade has a 180° adjustable angle range, powered by a crank drive mechanism. Unfortunately, this model does not fold flat for storage unlike the EN401MP. It can also be used with the extension shaft to increase the overall reach.

Pole Pruner & Extensions

191E34-8 / LE400MP Extension Shaft

As mentioned above, Makita offer a 1m extension shaft that is suitable for use with tools that would benefit from additional length, such as the hedgetrimmer and pole saw attachments. Quick and easy to attach, only one extension pole can be used at a time.

191T38-7 / EY403MP Pole Pruner Attachment

This pole pruner attachment features a 30cm cutting bar using a 3/8”, 1.1mm gauge chain and is well balanced weighing just 2.0kg. Perfect for cutting back hard to reach branches.  With an overall working length of 1.2m this can also be used in conjunction with the 191E24-8 extension shaft for an additional 1m reach.
